Character Customization is a feature in Flicker that allows players to customize their player (with limited choices of cosmetics) and play as them during rounds. This feature only applies to Regular Mode, as Anonymous Mode and Classic Mode use already existing characters.

Usages

Character Customization is accessed in the lobby by clicking the humanoid figure on the left side of the screen. A mannequin of R6 proportions with a white shirt and denim jeans will be shown. The accessories, hairstyles, clothing, and outfits you have obtained from the store may be applied and displayed. Customization items are sorted into categories on the right. A "Wearing" panel is present to show which items are equipped. Faces are unlocked by buying crates from the shop on the left side of the screen. A name may also be applied, and a skin tone may be chosen. More skin tones can be purchased with the Extra Skin Tones gamepass.

Three buttons are located on the bottom left:

• The "Done" button saves your current customizations and exits back to the lobby,
• the "Reset" button, upon confirmation, reverts the mannequin to the default settings,
• and the "Outfits" button opens the Outfits Menu.

The Outfits Menu can store preset customizations in slots. Once saved, they can be reapplied to the mannequin or deleted. The date and time the outfit was created is marked in its respective slot. Three slots are available to every player. Two more slots may be purchased for 25 each, and a sixth slot is unlocked if the VIP gamepass is purchased.

Trivia

• The Character Customization mechanism was added on April 25th, 2021. This feature was planned since the origin of Flicker.
• joritochip publicly set multiple deadlines of this feature's release from August - November 2020 and from January - March 2021. None of the following deadlines were met.
  • It missed the January - March 2021 deadline due to continuous testing.
• If you do not set a name for your character, your Roblox username will be used instead.
• If there are two characters with the same name in the same round, a "2" will be displayed next to one of the names to avoid confusion. e.g Sabrina and Sabrina 2
• Numerous players nickname the default avatar "Mr. Clean." This is because they both have similar appearances.
