Information
Classic Mode is one of the three gamemodes in Flicker. Each round, the Murderer would kill someone every night before the voting session begins. If the players guess the Murderer correctly, they win. If the Murderer is one of the last two survivors, both people win. This used to be the only gamemode until the 3.0.0 update, where Regular Mode was added. Classic Mode has been fully implemented on July 19th, 2020 at around 11 P.M. EST. In the new update, scrolls, gamepasses, and coins aren't available. Wins don't count in this gamemode.
Classic Mode features the following roles:
- Investigator
- Murderer
- Psychic
- Medic
- Survivor
List of Roles
The Investigator can vote twice each voting session. They are the leader of the Good Team.
The Murderer can kill someone every time the lights flicker out. However, if the Medic chooses to save the murderer’s target, then the target will not be murdered. They are also known as being the original antagonist on the game, being the only member of the Evil Team.
The Psychic can view a chosen player's team every night. It will tell them the chosen player is either Good or Evil. Originally, the Psychic knew the exact role of a player.
The Medic can save a targeted player from the Murderer. They can also save themselves once per game.
The Survivor is the default role without any special abilities. Their main objective, hence the name above, is to survive.
Trivia
- Because Elaina, Lukey, and Trey identify as non-binary characters, the gender selection option has been removed from Classic Mode entirely due to its nature as legacy content.
- In the 3.0.0 update, the Investigator role is replaced with the Detective role, nearly preserving the same function.
