The Clown is a Neutral role in Flicker. The Clown can be played as in Regular Mode and Anonymous Mode.

The Clown wins after being voted out during gameplay. The Clown's goal is inhibited if the Clown is killed. Once the Clown is voted out, they may choose to kill a live player once.

Tips and Tricks

  • Try making yourself suspicious by claiming to be a role of another player. If they disagree with you, and they are highly trusted, chances are you will get voted out.
  • Saying that you are Evil might work, but it is a common strategy, and experienced players might see through your bluff.
  • It is best to side with Evil Team members so that the Murderer and Assassin don't kill you.
    • If you do side with the Evil Team, convince them to kill the Savior or Psychic, as the former can revive you and the Psychic can reveal your role.
  • A Savior may revive you as soon as they realize you're the Clown. If you intend to kill someone later, it is recommended to write an evil role in your journal.
  • Being AFK works too, as most players believe that anyone who is AFK is automatically Evil.
  • Another strategy is to suspect other players for no reason, especially players you believe are Good, as they will believe that you are trying to get innocent people voted off just to lower the Good Team's numbers and make the Evil Team win.

Trivia

  • The Clown is currently the only Neutral role in Flicker.
  • The Clown can only kill one player per round. If the Clown kills a player, then gets saved by the Savior, then voted off again, they won't be able to kill a player that time.
  • If the Clown is voted, saved, and then not voted, the Clown will not win the game.
  • The Medic cannot heal the Clown's target.
  • The Witch can bewitch the Clown, however since the Clown's ability can't be used until they get voted off, the only thing it does is give the Clown a message saying "You've been witched!" without any effect.
  • The Clown's presence does not affect standings between the Good Team and Evil Team. In all scenarios where the game checks for how many players are left on either team, the Clown's presence is irrelevant.
  • The Clown is known to have underwent a period of reworking over multiple months.
  • The Clown is currently the only role that can use an ability while dead.
  • The Clown may kill anyone in the round, including the Murderer.
  • There is a 6.67% base chance of playing as the Clown.
