General Knowledge[]

  • Never Reveal Your Role: Not revealing your role is a good idea most of the time. Some exceptions can be made; for example: the Muffin Man can reveal their role later or in the beginning of the game to prove their innocence, and Survivors can reveal their role as it does not have any special abilities. Revealing your role if you know it will help you catch the Murderer specifically (e.g. Spy) would be useful, though. If it's close to the end of the game, revealing your role as Psychic can help you take down the last evil person, however they can still tell lies. You can also reveal your role as a last resort if being accused.
  • Write in your Journal: Writing in your journal can help your teammates after your death; while it won't help you win, it's helpful for your teammates. It can also help you get revived by the Savior . When on the Evil Team, you could also fake your role by lying in your journal to mislead others. It may be helpful to your teammates because they can know who’s suspicious because of your journal and reveal people’s roles so they can know who’s innocent or not.
  • Be Careful With Notes: Most people are careful when sending notes, as they have a 20% chance to drop, so it's best that you shouldn't write anything about your role. Writing vague 'hints' if trying to communicate with your team is recommended.
  • People can be Wrong: It is okay to be wrong, and one should know that just because someone is wrong doesn't mean they're evil. Especially the Detective as their clues aren't always correct, it wouldn't be right to accuse them because they went wrong with their clues.
  • Be Skeptical: In Flicker, keep in mind that there is a huge lack of proof - there is never a circumstance where someone is definitely proven to be something to the entire server - all you are doing is trusting the person giving information. Always be skeptical, even in journals people can still lie. It's quite easy to fake being the Psychic, since the Psychic’s readings are written like this: [Player's Name] is Evil/Good/Neutral. It's harder to fake Detective clues, as there are multiple ways that the game writes them in. Since the "At least one of these players is good" clues hint at 2 players, and the "At least one of these players is evil" clues hint at 3 people being evil, it's much easier to distinguish between a real and fake Detective.
  • Don't Talk Too Much or Too Little: If you talk too much, people will point it out. However, if you talk too little and someone accuses you, you will want to defend yourself and finally start talking more. When you start defending yourself some people will inevitably come with the argument, "You didn't talk much before, but now you talk just to defend yourself, that's suspicious." Plus, it's also good to socialize with people, and that it gives you an advantage because others are less willing to vote out people who they have socialized with.
  • There are 4 good special team members (with one guaranteed Detective, or five if there are twins.) and 3 evil members in each game (with one guaranteed Murderer): Use this information to your advantage (if there are at least 7-8 players present in the queue). Example 1: You're the Psychic and 2 evil people have been voted out. Therefore you know there's only one evil person left. You can reveal your role and tell everyone to vote that person out, as there is no risk as you win the game after voting out that person. Of course, there are the chances that the others won't believe you or that someone else gets voted out. In both of those cases, you're screwed. Example 2: You're the Spy and someone has been revived, meaning there's a Savior. One person in game says that they're Medic. In this case, they must be lying because you're the Spy and someone else is the Savior, and there can only be the Detective left.
  • Don't Hide: One reason to not hide is that hiding is suspicious. Another reason is that you can't socialize and learn more information from others while hiding.
  • Don't Accuse Someone Unless You are Sure: If you end up accusing someone and your accusation is wrong, people will end up suspecting you which may cause you to get voted out next round. However, do remember to be skeptical: people can still lie in journals.
  • Identifying a Lie: If someone's journal says they're a certain role and they misspell the name of the role, then they likely lied about their role as the name of the role shows in their role infobox. The most misspelled role would be Psychic, as most people, even if they have the role, will end up misspelling it, making it hard to tell the truth from the lies.
  • Roles in Each Game: In each game there are 3 special team member roles. Good Team: one helpful role (Medic or Savior), one sleuth role (Spy or Psychic), one good role (Twin or Muffin Man), and the leader, the Detective. Evil Team: one malicious role (Scout or Witch), one evil role (Assassin or Dark Psychic), and the leader, the Murderer. You can find more specific details for your game in the new "Role List" tab.
  • Role Eliminator: If someone ever in the game breaks any of these connections, then they're most likely lying about their role. If there is a Medic in game, then there is no Savior (vice versa). If there is a Psychic in game, then there is no Spy (vice versa). If there are Twins in game, then there is no Muffin Man (vice versa). If there is Scout in game, then there is no Witch (vice versa). If there is an Assassin in game, then there is no Dark Psychic (vice versa). This is good to know because, for example: You are the Psychic, meaning there is no Spy, and somebody said "[Player's Name] was visited by: [Players' Name]". You would then know that they are the Scout because if you are the Psychic, there cannot be a Spy.
  • Persuasion Notes: If you’re on Good Team, and you know that a certain someone is evil, it may be best to just send notes to others with evidence. It can be something along the lines of “[Player’s Name] is suspicious”. Even if your note drops, everyone in the server will end up getting your message, drawing the attention to the player that was in your note, and possibly getting then voted off.
  • Detective's Clue: When being the Detective, you don't want to accuse immediately when it says somebody might be evil. You might end up eliminating the good people. You could justify your accusations by finding the Psychic (if there is one). Be careful when finding them though because you don't want to end up working with the Dark Psychic (if there is one). When you find the Psychic, ask them to check the players who are on your list. If the Psychic says that [Player's Name] is evil, tell everybody and let them know. You could also eliminate people from list by figuring out if they are good or not by what they are doing. Your clue might say: At least one of these players are evil: [The Muffin Man], [The Savior] or [The Assassin]. You could ask the Muffin Man, "Hey what are you?" They might say that they are the Muffin Man. If they say that, ask for a muffin for proof. If you get one, they are most likely good. You could ask the Savior that was on your list what they are. They might say "I'm the Savior" If they say that, tell them to revive someone for proof. Be careful with this method because you don't want to end up having the Murderer and Assassin knowing that you're the Detective. Then because of the other two being good, the last person would be evil. The Clown role cannot appear on detective clues
  • Don't Act Too Clueless: Acting clueless works, but sometimes it makes it extremely obvious that you're lying about your role. It's best not to act like a clueless Survivor or Clown as this makes it extremely obvious you are on the Evil Team.
  • Remember Information: Remembering information is an important aspect of Flicker - information from sleuth roles may not be useful at first, but later it could prove to be the key to finishing the game. Also remember which roles have been voted out or killed - then catch the liars. On the contrary, when you are on the Evil Team, take advantage of potential important information that the Good Team may have forgotten.
  • Acting is Important: If you are evil, you have to make sure you're good at acting. Don't act scared, but don't completely act like you don't care. If you say hi to a bunch of players for no reason, it's considered suspicious. Acting extremely rude to players will also get voted out. Showing too much or too little concern will make people want to vote you out.


Tips and Tricks[]

  1. Go with the Flow: If you said something that might make people suspicious or concerned, wait until the Detective, Spy, or Psychic accuses someone. Then simply follow in their footsteps and frame who they frame. This trick is not going to work 100% of the time, but it is a helpful thing to follow.
  2. Out of Fight, Out of Mind: If you are on the Evil Team specifically and see a couple of players accusing one another, let them continue to argue as they will likely be winning you the game. Attention is being diverted to them specifically, which may lead to one of them eventually being voted off out of suspicion. Of course, if one of them are actually evil, you need to try and divert suspicion instead.
  3. Making me a Liar: If someone accuses you and says their role, just say that they are lying and you are that role. This does happen the other way around where someone lies about their role and the real person accuses them, so it isn't hard for people to believe you. Make sure to keep up this act - if the other person writes their role in their journal, accuse them of lying, after all, there is no concrete proof until someone gets investigated. This may backfire if the Psychic has checked the role of the other person.
  4. The Truth Hurts: If someone accuses you and you're on the Evil Team, reassure the other players that you aren't evil and ask the person who accused you how they know it's you. If they actually tell their role, they have the Murderer ready to kill them unless you are the Murderer and you do get voted out as the Psychic and Detective are invaluable to the team.
  5. Psychic Neutral: If someone says they found out that someone is good or evil, someone on the Evil Team can single them out as being the Dark Psychic instead of the normal Psychic. This also makes you look innocent if you are fighting the Evil Team.
  6. Ability Pro-activity: In the case of the Assassin and Savior specifically, because of the tendency for users to leave in the first and second rounds, it may be best to save your abilities for later in the game when important roles may start to become identified, so that they do not go to waste. However, be careful that you are not voted/killed before you use your ability, otherwise it will be a complete waste.
  7. Risking for the Good: There is a 50% chance that the combination of the special roles are paired with a Medic; if you reveal yourself as a Detective, Psychic, or Spy, you will easily be a target for the Murderer, but the Medic can keep on healing you every night making the Murderer main priority to find and kill the Medic. This is risky because the Dark Psychic, Scout, and Witch can fake a good role and/or block a role.
  8. Negotiating with the Clown: With the Clown role, the game can get twisted easily, as it is a guaranteed role. If you are a Psychic, finding the Clown (should come up as Neutral) could mean you can have anyone you want out of your way. All you have to do is send a note saying something on the lines of "Hey, if I get you voted off, kill [Player's Name]" with the [Player's Name] as the name of the person you want dead. You don't have to be the Psychic to do this, as an experienced player could easily spot Clown versus normal evil behavior. The Clown will usually happily do this, as they win, and you get a threatening player dead for sure—both players benefit, so unless the Clown's friend is your chosen target, they have no reason to decline. In order to help the Clown get voted off, point out any suspicious behavior, try to get them to act weirdly, or directly accusing them (though there are circumstances that you may provoke the Clown this way).
  9. Pretend to be the Clown: Act like the Clown if someone accuses you; this will make nobody want to vote you unless they are willing to negotiate a deal with you. This is a very risky trick, as it may not always work if people actually vote you off. Another way this may not work out is if you are an important Good role, and you pretend to be the Clown to not get voted, the Murderer may kill you because they don't want to be killed and want to ensure that they live so they can win. This may also backfire if the Psychic checked you or the real clown.
  10. Identifying a Dark Psychic: Let's say that in someone's journal once they got killed/voted out, it says "Quinn is evil". This is most likely the work of the Dark Psychic. It should say "Quinn is Evil.", not "Quinn is evil". The difference between the two are in the fake Psychic journal; it says evil with a lowercase E But it should start with a capital E when saying evil. This is the same case when it says "Quinn is good" instead of "Quinn is Good," and "Quinn is neutral" instead of "Quinn is Neutral."
  11. Muffin Delivery Gone Wrong: If the Muffin Man negotiates with a player who asks for a muffin, the Murderer or Assassin can kill the intended recipient in order to potentially frame the Muffin Man for murder.
    • As a result, it may not be in the best interest to always send muffins to people who ask for them. Sometimes, one may want to give a muffin to someone else in order to thwart the attempts at framing.
    • Occasionally, the Murderer or Assassin may also be asking for a muffin, and sees that the Muffin Man is going to give it to someone else, and not them. This gives them the want to kill the player who asked, so they can get a muffin instead.
  12. Capitalize on Errors: As the Spy or Scout, if someone reveals a vulnerable role early on such as Twin, or if someone decides to ask for a muffin from the Muffin Man, it may be best to bug one of those players in particular since they are possibly more likely to be killed. In the case of the Spy, you can potentially easily identify the Murderer or Assassin if the bugged player turns up dead, and Scouts can use this to identify their teammate or frame other players.
  13. The Trickster: When being the Clown, just saying you're evil isn't always going to work because they might know you're the Clown. It may be best to have a different plan. One thing you can do is falsely accuse someone who everybody else knows is good. Here are some quotes that will get you voted out: "[Player's Name] is evil because they are speaking and moving" or "Hey it's [Player's Name] because I saw them kill". Make sure to not give evidence that makes too much sense or they will get voted out instead of you, so accuse somebody who is most likely good or not suspicious. Another trick is by claiming that you're a special good role that someone else already has and then claim being a Survivor after being called out. This is somewhat risky as the real role might get voted out instead if you are playing with less experienced players.
  14. Ask the Good Team's Goal: To identify whether someone is faking their role or not, ask the player their team's goal, which should be: - Eliminate EVIL team. If they fail to answer that, you can immediately conclude that they are Evil/Neutral. You can also ask for their "role's" behavior to fool and expose the player.
  15. The Journalist: Whatever role you are, keep an eye on the chat. At any point of the game, people may reveal their roles or give hints of their role (giving clues to the other players, etc.) To keep track of who is what, it's good to write out in your journal what the roles are of people. You could even guess from their behavior, but don't take too long, otherwise you may be found suspicious from not talking.
  16. Do Not Call Out the Clown: This is not a good idea as most inexperienced players will still vote them and have the Clown end up killing you. To prevent the Clown from killing you, one method is to wait for another player to call them out and say you agree with them. Another, is by trying to hint that they are the Clown. If you are lucky, the Clown will not get voted out.
  17. Assassin's Notes: When you're the Assassin, you want the Murderer to know that you're on their team. You might send them a note to tell them so. The note might say: "Hey I'm the assassin." It's pretty clear to know what role you are, but if it drops, everybody will know you are the Assassin. Two good note ideas are: "Hey I'm on your team", or "I know you're good". The first note idea is good because if it drops, people won't know your team. The second idea is good because they might think that you might be good, but they will keep you as an alibi. Also like the first note idea, it doesn't reveal your team. Either those, or they will know what you're hinting to. Be careful with those note ideas especially the second one because if they don't know you are trying to tell them that you are on their team, they might vote you out. You can also pretend that the Murderer is your Twin. You could also send a note to the Murderer saying "Don't kill me, or I'll reveal all I know." If the note drops it may be more likely for you to get murdered, however if is the Murderer is experienced they may understand that you are hinting at them.
  18. Indirectly Help the Clown: If you easily identified who is the clown, you can indirectly help them by voting them. This works better if someone pointed out that they're the Clown or they are evil. This would help increase the number of deaths in the next night. If the Clown picked wisely who to kill, the Murderer or one of the members of your opposing team may end up dying. However, you would be at a huge disadvantage if you're first alphabetically or you die in the process, making this a huge gamble on your part.
  19. Hide for the First Two Nights: This works well if you are the Detective, Spy, Scout, Psychic, or Dark Psychic. You just need a view of the crowd's conversation and prevent being noticed at the duration. Once the lights are back on the "second night", immediately head to the crowd and blend in. Pretend that you were with them the whole time. Earning enough information, you can now help accuse or fortify the other's accusations. This may have disadvantages, as they might call you out for being missing, get killed/voted in the process or the others not believing in your accusations.
  20. Everything to Know About When Faking Roles: Let's say you're the Scout, and the Spy revealed their role, which means there's no Psychic in the game since there can only be one sleuth role in the game. Most people are unaware of this fact, so you can disguise as the psychic, but make sure you try to match the style of the role revelations given to the regular Psychics. With this in mind, don't write "lara is evil" and instead write "Lara is Evil". However, this could be risky since you can accidentally accuse your own teammates. It's recommended to do this if you're the Murderer or the Murderer and Assassin knows your role to prevent getting killed.
  21. Blend In: When players around you start chatting about a subject you happen to know things about, join in. Even if the topic is something you absolutely dislike, just talk about it, for example the players are talking about a game, just talk about it too, to avoid suspicion. People on the Evil Team should do this, so the group of players who are talking about this topic will trust you a little and decide to vote someone else if there isn't any evidence against you presented to them.
  22. Psychic Signal: If the Dark Psychic reads an evil player, they can lie, and announce that that certain player is good. Since that player knows that they aren't good, it can signal them to know that they are the Dark Psychic, while masquerading themselves as the Psychic. However, this may backfire if the player being lied about is not the Murderer, as they might think they are the Psychic, and target that player.
  23. A.F.S (Away from suspicion): As simple as it gets, try to stay away from chaos by not moving or speaking. This will not work if you have already been moving or partaking in group activity and can also make people annoyed and vote you out.
  24. Death Notes: Your last words can change the game astronomically. If you know that the Psychic has been killed but is unknown to the other players, why not take up the name yourself? With those few words, the Savior may try to bring you back into the game through panic. This is a very common strategy among players, and hey, I'm all about jumping onto bandwagons.
  25. What They Don’t Know: If you are evil, say you are the good counterpart of what your role really is to someone who has revealed their role. They will think you are good and will defend you when you get accused. Example: You are Witch and Jordan revealed her role as the Detective. Say that you are the Medic (or any good role, but make sure that there can still be one in game) to her in notes, and block her that night. If she gets voted, they will probably say in her journal you are good. This will leave others to trust you can give you the advantage to manipulate others.
  26. Be Persuasive: If you're on the Evil Team or Good Team (more helpful when evil), make up good reasons for people to not vote you out. Let's say Kim-ly accuses you, say something such as, "If I was evil, I would have killed you". This will make a good point for people to not vote you out and will result in people not voting you out. Although, if you aren't on Evil Team, then this may not be the best strategy to choose, and it may also backfire if the Murderer happens to kill Kim-ly the next night.
  27. Social Butterfly: When playing, wandering around and not saying anything while others are having big conversations may not be the best tactic to use when you're evil. Instead, try to be a part of the conversation, learn how your peers act, how they talk, what they talk about, etc, and act like them. Here is an example: If you are Melodie the Dark Psychic (any evil role works), and the server likes to talk about their interests and hobbies, you can join in, sharing your interests and hobbies as well. This will lead other players to warm up to you, and you will attract less suspicion. If the server likes to be serious and focus on finding evil players, act like you're trying to contribute, saying things like, "Does anyone have any evidence," or "We know it can't be Elizabeth, she's the Savior."
  28. Exposed: Let's say you accidentally killed the Assassin, and they exposed you in their journal. Say that you're the Clown and the Assassin is your friend who tries to get you voted out so you can win. Hopefully some people will actually believe that you're the Clown, and won't vote you out. Be aware that the real Clown could still be alive, and point you out. You should try to avoid killing the Assassin however, by only killing who you know is good.
  29. Be Careful: If you are the Detective, you'll need to be careful when it comes to accusing, as it can resort to you losing one of your teammates. When doing so, make sure you ask what their role is, if they lie, you can easily get proof against them, like in your clues again. Though this can be risky as that person you asked may be the Murderer or the Assassin (if the Assassin still has one kill left) and kill you to stay away from suspicion.
  30. Be Annoying: If you get Clown, you can be a general nuisance to everyone to make them more likely to vote you out, this involves accusing someone everyone else thinks is good, spamming, or going on weird topics that don't make any sense. Don't be rude though and make sure to follow the Flicker Player Rules and Roblox Community Guidelines. However, this might backfire if the Murderer also gets annoyed and decides to kill you.
  31. Idling Players: Players who are or appear to be away from keyboard (AFK) are often very noteworthy during rounds as their presence can be tied to certain outcomes. For instance, no one dies over the course of multiple nights, the Murderer (as well as potentially the Assassin) may be someone who appears to be idle or AFK. Conversely, it is typically safe to assume that if someone appears idle but another player is killed by the Murderer and/or Assassin, then they are very likely to be a role that does not kill people while alive. Because of this, it may be advantageous to not vote off idle players early on (providing they aren't killed). However, if the game still appears to be ongoing as the number of remaining players decreases, the chances of the idle player in this situation being the Dark Psychic, Scout, or Witch increase. It is also worth noting that inexperienced players may vote off idle players, contrary to the logic stated before, which can sometimes prove advantageous for the Clown.
  32. Not Actually AFK: Conversely, it is possible for the Murderer and/or Assassin to intentionally act idle as a means of diverting attention away from themselves. At the same time, if the Murderer notices an AFK player then they can choose to not kill anyone until the AFK player in question starts moving or interacting with other players as a means of framing that player. This may be somewhat risky when the situation involving AFK players being voted off in the previous tip occurs. It is also worth noting this strategy is best used later in rounds as it runs the risk of drawing suspicion towards the Murderer if used too early, especially if they are more vocal about it.
  33. Prove Your Innocence: If you happen to get accused due to suspicion, Say "I am good, the Psychic can read me". A disadvantage to this is if the Dark Psychic reads you, they can frame you (if there is one), and/or the Murderer and Assassin can kill you because they know you are good.
  34. Suspicious Survivor: One thing the Murderer/other evil roles do a lot in game is call themselves Survivor, be careful to be suspicious of people who call themselves Survivor late game. Spy can use this strategy to identify liars. For example: Spy checks Jo, who is visited by Bailey. Spy asks Bailey what her role is, Bailey says Survivor. This means Bailey is lying. Evil team should also be careful when claiming Survivor, especially in front of the Spy.
  35. Write your Role: This can be very helpful. If you are the Psychic or Dark Psychic and you know who the Murderer is, keep track with journal. Bear in mind that you risk a game ban if you are caught intentionally game throwing.
  36. Don't Target a Random Player: If you're the Murderer/Assassin, target players who are confirmed to be good and not players that the good team think are suspicious. Doing so will narrow down the players that could take the blame for you if you kill players that are suspicious. If you are unsure who is good, it's best not to kill during that night, this also benefits in players not knowing when you're gone.
  37. Lying as Clown: The best idea is to pretend that you're new and say that you're Dark Psychic, Assassin, Witch, or any other evil role. You can then act clueless and ask questions about that role (ex. "How do you bug someone as Scout?"). Smarter players will know that you are the Clown, however.
  38. Keeping track of ABC killers: This may be uncommon but there are some players who get Murderer and they are the first name on the name list. Keep track on the first and second names on the list and if the first name gets skipped and the second name gets killed, it's likely that the first name is the Murderer/Assassin. However, there are chances that the first name isn't the Murderer/Assassin.
  39. Fighting Players are Easy Targets: Whenever you see players fighting, and you are the Murderer, try killing one of the players that were in the fight. Others will soon realize what happened and accused the other player that was fighting. However, you have to be careful as some Spies may pick your target, so unless a player has revealed themself as a Psychic, it's better to wait a couple of rounds until killing one of the arguing players.
  40. Questionnaire Detective: When you are the Detective and you get your clues, ask the suspects random questions such as "Bailey, what's your favorite color?", or "Alicia, how are you?". This will make you look a tad bit suspicious for the Good Team, but usually not enough to vote you out for, and look more trusted by the Evil Team. However, be careful because this trick won't always work and it may backfire on you.
  41. Quiet Kid: When you are the Clown, you can try to be quiet, since most players accuse people who do not talk as much.
  42. Role Bait: If you know which special roles exist, try to ask people who the non-existent role is. For example, ask for who the Spy is when you're the Psychic, if anybody answers, you can call them out.
  43. Knowledge of the Roles: When somebody says that they are a role, ask them EXACTLY what their role does, and for them to give an example of one of their role abilities. For example, Detective can't target anybody, but instead gets clues that appear regardless of who you want to target. If anybody says that they will target somebody as a Detective, they might be evil, or the Clown. You can also ask them to read what their "Role Info" in the right corner says, if they misspell a word, or say the wrong thing, this could mean that they lied about their role.
  44. Misleading Words: If you're in a server, the amount of players is down to about 4-6, and you know for certain who is the murderer, you could send them a note saying that you're the Assassin, or any other role on Evil Team. This could lead to the Murderer sparing you, unless they already know who the actual player with that role is.
  45. Show Respect: If anybody in the server seems to be upset, grieving, or venting about their real life losses/problems, try to sympathize with them and see if you can relate to how they feel. They will most likely not want to kill/vote you out since you understand their problem, and you have a better chance of surviving. Even better, you might make their day!
  46. Double Reverse Psychology: If you are the Murderer, you can sometimes get away with saying you are the murderer and win. Due to the Clown role, fairly new players may suspect you are the clown and not vote you out. This will have a higher chance of success if you slightly spam, such as "I am Murderer", "Vote me". Although, players may find out that you're telling the truth when the real Clown comes forward or the Psychic reads you (if there is either of them in the game).
  47. Socialize With the Evil Team: It's always the best if you socialize with the Evil Team, if you want to, because in most cases people can think you're suspicious, and it can be frustrating as the murderer. As Assassin, it's highly recommended telling the Murderer that you're on their team.
  48. Clown Tips: The Clown can be a bit tricky trying to get people to believe you’re actually evil, try to pretend to be Assassin and try to drop your note attempting to tell the Murderer that you're on their team, or you can attempt to "give up" as the Dark Psychic or Scout you can also do this with Murderer, but its a bit more risky. In case of people thinking you're Clown, it's recommended to pretend that you're Assassin, you can say "Hey, I'm Assassin and (name) is Murderer" . When choosing a target, if you want to help the Good Team, choose whoever you know or think is evil (the Clown is the only role who can kill the Murderer), and if you want to help the Evil Team choose someone you know is good (Muffin Man or someone who revealed their role) but it's up to you how you want to kill.
  49. Hinting Your Role: This one is both more risky and safe. For example: You are Detective, but instead of revealing your role immediately to share your information, you can 'hint' at your role by just giving the information. This does make you more suspicious as you're accusing someone without reason, so do reveal your role if you are questioned, but in general because you seem more suspicious the evil team will usually leave you alone at night.
  50. The Fake Psychic: As the Clown, one strategy you can use is to masquerade as the Psychic (though any sleuth role works too). Accuse somebody of being evil, and then claim to be the Psychic. You could say, “Zahrah is Evil, I am the Psychic.” By using this strategy, members of the Evil Team might actually believe you are the Psychic, and they’ll vote you out. This may backfire though, as the players may actually believe that you are the real Psychic, and they might actually vote out the player you accused (Zahrah). So instead of getting voted out, you got an innocent person voted out, and now the Murderer believes you really are the Psychic, so they’ll prioritize killing you. Use this strategy at your own risk. You may only want to use this if somebody has already revealed themselves as the Psychic.
  51. Accused Excuses: There are several ways to dodge an accusation as an Evil Team member in Flicker - however, you must remember prior information given before you act accordingly. One way is to accuse someone of lying in their journal, as it is easy and useful to do so. Instead of getting defensive when you get accused, try and divert the suspicion instead - everyone wants somebody to vote out. If all else fails, as a last resort you can claim or hint at an important role.
  52. Spy and Psychic in One Round: If you are Clown, act as Spy or Psychic. While doing this, try to target suspicious players, because if the person you accused is experienced and not from the team you said, they may say that you are probably Clown and not Psychic/Dark Psychic/Spy/Scout. Let's say you act like a Spy and there is a Spy or an experienced Psychic in the game. Let's assume Spy is Lukey. When you act that way, Lukey will tell you that you are Scout because they are the Spy. The real Scout, Adam won't say that he is the real Scout and that you are probably Clown because then he will reveal himself. If there is no Spy on the server, but an experienced Psychic (lets say it's Minji), she will tell you that Spy and Psychic cannot be in the same round and you are Scout. In this case, you will be voted as evil. However, if Psychic read you, this will not work. Also, if you want Evil Team to win, this will give them an advantage.
  53. Snitch Psychic: When you are Psychic or Dark Psychic, if you know who the Murderer, Assassin, or Detective is and someone is your counterpart, you can tell them (Murderer/Assassin/Detective). This will work, especially when you're on Evil Team. If the Assassin didn't kill someone, they can kill the Psychic, if they already killed someone, they can tell it to the Murderer because they know who the Murderer is. When you're in the Good Team, the Detective can tell that they already suspected them, and the Psychic told them that they were evil. While doing this, remember to communicate with the Murderer/Assassin/Detective via notes and be very careful while sending them.
  54. Glitch Faking: This only works when you're on Good Team and is most effective when you're a Twin, since your Twin could cover for you. Send notes to random people say something like "I am the Assassin, however, I got a glitch where I cannot see who the Murderer is. Please reply if you are the Murderer or on the Evil Team!". When somebody replies, you can call them out. However, this could backfire since you could get voted out for being Assassin.
  55. Dropping Notes: When you are Clown, you can write suspicious notes when, for example, Haneen and Viola are fighting, and write something along the lines of, "Hey, do you think I should just kill off Haneen? People will think it's Viola" or, "Should I kill Haneen or do you want to?" and copy the entire note before sending it. If the note doesn't drop, paste it a few more times until the note drops. This might work because you will probably not get killed, since the Murderer might think you're the Assassin and wouldn't want to kill you, unless they already know the identity of the Assassin. When players read your dropped note, they will immediately think you're suspicious, unless they are very experienced and call you out. This might backfire, however, since some Murderers kill off their Assassins.
  56. Survivor Tracking: Keep track of people who say they are Survivor. In a 15 player game, there are 5 or 6 Survivors, depending on whether there's a Muffin Man or Twins (5 when there are Twins, 6 when there's a Muffin Man). If you are a Survivor and 6 different people say they are also Survivor, you know at least one is lying. When there is a 9 player game and someone calls themself a Survivor, they also are lying. You can now tell how many survivors there are in your game from the "Role List" tab.
  57. Twin Hints: If you are Murderer or Assassin, look for clues in behavior hinting about someone being Twins. If you see someone saying "Don't spill it" or dropping a note with similar content, this may mean that they are looking for a subtle way to tell their Twin not to show their identity. People facing each other and jumping may also be a way of communicating. If someone says that they know that a person is on Good Team because they are on call, and the other can say the same thing about the first person, there is also a chance they may be Twins. Even if they're not, they are on Good Team, so theoretically there is no harm in killing them. However, keep in mind that a savvy Spy could pick up on this as well and bug one of the twins to expose you.
  58. Friends Forever!: When you play with a friend in a public server and are the Murderer, don't spare them. The more observant could find that you are not killing your friend and accuse you. A simple excuse could be "It is a coincidence" but it may not turn out right. However, murdering them right away may have a similar effect; you're suspicious for trying not to be suspicious by killing the person you are closest to. So it is most reasonable to kill them on the 2nd to 4th night. This doesn't work when you are Assassin since you are using up your only kill on your friend.
  59. Psychic Assassin: If you are Assassin, you can write that the Murderer is good in your journal, and claim to be the Psychic. When people ask you for another reading, say you were witched, afk, or just ignore them. Use this at your own risk, though, because if you keep claiming you were witched they will likely not believe you and vote you out.
  60. Dodgy Dark Psychic: As Clown, there is a strategy you can use to get yourself out, while making it seem all believable. You can say that you are the Dark Psychic and want to help the Good Team despite being on Evil Team. This will already make you suspicious because Good Team probably don't want to lose the chance of getting a free Evil Team member out. It is recommended that you say this after the first night because the Murderer may kill you for trying to help the Good Team. After you said that, say that someone that has been proven to be on Good Team is Evil. Do this at your own risk however, because the less experienced players may believe you, and the more experienced players may be suspecting you of being the Clown.
  61. Subtle Communication: As an Assassin, there is a way to communicate to the Murderer that you're on their side without you revealing your team/role or using notes. Just jump up and down in front of them and in Normal Flicker Mode you can tell them that they have a nice outfit. Generally try to socialize with them and say that you have a feeling that they are Good and that you trust them. However, when evidence against them is found, it is recommended that go with the flow and accuse them too. However, you can vote someone who you find suspicious in secret since all votes are anonymous.
  62. Always Vote: This one is very straightforward. Just always vote. This is especially important when you are on Evil Team. As Evil: Vote a person who has been proven Good. As Good: Vote the first person from the top who has not been proven Good or vote anyone who has been proven Evil. If you don't vote, your vote will just count as zero and may result in unfavorable situations. This is more important the less players there are.
  63. Clown Trap: This tip is suitable for any role that is not Clown. As Evil, do not kill them off, just let them be. They can be an additional vote on your side or just make the player total 1 less (because Clowns don't affect the amount of players. For example, if there's one Clown, one Witch, and one Survivor left, Evil still wins). Same thing when you're on Good Team. Don't revive them though since there are more useful roles to revive.
  64. Sweet Deals!: As Clown, you can encourage people to vote you out by suggesting deals for example "I will kill whoever you choose if you vote me out." Whether you keep that promise after your death is up to you.
  65. Scouts are Good?: If you are Clown and want to get voted out, you can claim to be Scout. Put in the chat something like "I'm Scout--they're good, right?" The reason you claim to be Scout and not another evil role is because witch sounds evil, Murderer and Assassin are obviously evil, and anything with dark in it is likely evil too. When people say Scout is an evil role, tell them you are a new player. Make sure to change your avatar accordingly, though, or they won't believe you.
  66. Detective Doesn't Visit: Detective doesn't visit the players they get clues on. Use this to your advantage if you're the Spy. E.g. you're the Spy, someone else is the Medic. You bug the Medic, and find that another person visited them. Therefore, that person who visited must be evil unless the player that visited the Medic is the Muffin Man.
  67. Don't Withhold Crucial Information: As an investigative role, whether it be Detective, Spy, or Psychic, you should immediately say if you find someone evil. There will be at least one helpful role in-game, which lowers your chance of dying. The evil person you caught could also be the Murderer. If you do not give information right away, it will just allow the Evil Team to spread more lies; it can also make you suspicious, especially when someone Evil Team member claims your role first. Even if you are worried of dying, you should at least be hinting information to others.
  68. "AFK" Assumptions: As Clown, you can fake being AFK to draft suspicion to you. When the voting session starts, you can claim that you're going to randomly vote a person who is confirmed to be good or something along the lines of that. This may cause other players to decide to vote you if they're clueless on who to vote.
  69. The 6-Player Rule: The way that Flicker works is that each team gets 3 special members, while everyone else is either Twin/Muffin Man, Survivor, or Clown. When playing with only 6 players, always remember that there cannot be a pair of Twins/Muffin Man, Survivor, or Clown. Keeping this rule in mind can easily help you spot a liar.
  70. Curiosity Kills the Cat: Experienced players can usually spot a member of the Evil Team easily, if you don't cover up your tracks well enough. As Murderer, if you spot anyone that seems to be threateningly intelligent, it's best to kill them early on. However, be wary, because there's a chance that said experienced player is part of your team.
  71. Subjugation: If by chance you manage to get in "The good books" of a Detective by showing up possibly good on their clues, And if you are an Evil Team member, You can remove good important roles like Psychic, and keeping your evil comrades safe, nobody dares challenge a detective's words, Unless the Murderer kills them because you didn't let them in the plan.
  72. Finding the Agent or Target: If you see a player showing some sort of bias towards voting a player out, they might be the Target or Agent. For example, if Aphrodite says she is the Agent publicly, and Charlie tells everyone to vote Aphrodite out without telling the players why, then Charlie is most likely the Target trying to get the Agent killed. It's your choice who you vote out when you discover this information, as whoever you pick won't effect gameplay.
  73. Tagged Journals: If you find a tagged Journal, you can try and guess what they meant. For example, if they have a journal saying "#### is Evil", and the remaining players excluding you are Jian, Quinn, Adam, And Vinny, it would be either Jian or Adam, and it's safe to assume they meant Jian as Adam doesn't hashtag. Another tip is if someone has a long Journal with only tags and it has been a few nights already, they are likely the Detective. This is because detective's Journal gets censored easily and they've lived long enough for that many clues.
  74. Rash Behavior: If you get into an argument (for example, let's say a muffin from the Muffin Man) and you're Assassin or Murderer, do not kill them. It will make you seem quieter and a touch less suspicious.
  75. Faking Twins: If you are sure there are no Twins to call you out, quietly proclaim yourself the Twins and make the Murderer know that you're the Assassin. Maybe don't even kill if there's no Savior and say the Medic saved you. There's no reason to prove otherwise. Who's going to believe the Medic over you two?
  76. Protecting The True Killer: Let's say you're the Assassin and you get voted off, write in your Journal "I'm the Assassin and [Player who is not Murderer] is the Murderer. This will get a random person voted off but it won't work if that person has already been checked by the Psychic.
  77. Build Trust: Build trust with people so you've got someone to rely on. You can talk with other people by moving away from the crowd or you can write some Notes and send it to them. You can also reveal your Role if for more trust. Another benefit besides someone backing you up is it'll decrease your chances of dying if you talk to the Murderer. Just make sure not to reveal your role if its important (eg.Psychic) as they might exploit you or kill you.
  78. Two in One: If you're the Spy and someone else claims that they are the Psychic or Spy, you know that they're evil. Don't just call them out. Instead, let them stay in the game and bug them as the Murderer will target them, thinking they're the real role (unless the Murderer knows that they're the Dark Psychic and they confirm the Murderer as part of the Good Team). This will get two evil members out at once, one being killed by the Murderer and the Murderer being caught by you.
  79. Where Did They Go?: Sometimes, a player in your game can't be found anywhere and nobody notices. This is what I like to call: HNSS (Hide and Seek Syndrome). This happens when someone goes missing and nobody knows until somebody calls it out, or when there are only few people left alive. Try doing a roll call every night to make sure anyone does not break off. If someone is missing, try to have everyone or a few searching for the missing person. If you are from the Evil Team or Good Team, you can use this to your advantage by talking to people in private while the search is still going on without having to use Notes and risk it getting dropped.
  80. Get Your Muffins!: If you get Muffin Man, you might want to just reveal your role instantly. This is mostly because it's more likely for someone to claim Survivor, Spy, Psychic or any other Roles than Muffin Man so you'll mostly be safe. And while you are Muffin Man, try and give every single person a muffin, so you don't have to deal with the fact the Murderer will be aiming at your head since you didn't give them a muffin. While scavenging for people to give muffins to, jot down any person who says they want a muffin as there's a likely chance one of them are from the evil team, although this will be useless if everybody wants a muffin. In that case, just write in your Journal about who wanted muffins so you don't forget.
  81. Back From the Dead: Don't just leave instantly once you die. As a Ghost you can still scavenge for people and see what they are saying, listen to private chats in secluded rooms, ask the other Ghosts on who you think it is or who was good/evil if they know and check if someone is lying during a debate by checking the message log. Once you get revived, you can relay your info before you die again or the game ends.
  82. Not Dealing With This: Sometimes the best strategy to not get voted is not getting involved in any argument. This is pretty obvious but sometimes, you'll become part of a conversation or argument much more easier then you expect. So only talk when you need to and only defend when you or someone you know is good. In addition, if you get dragged in a argument and you don't want to be apart of it, try to do as much as you can to get out of the argument otherwise you may end up getting voted out after you said something wrong. You can do this by changing the topic or say something that makes them forget about you like saying you are going AFK.
  83. Vote or Die: Something that people can forget easily is that the games chooses people to randomly vote off if no one votes. So always try and vote somebody off even if you have no suspicions. This way you don't have to accidentally kill the any important Roles or yourself. If you are from the Evil Team however. this can work in your advantage as if someone says to not vote, you can secretly vote out someone and experienced players might shrug it off knowing it could've been a coincidence. This does not work however with inexperienced players who don't know how the game works as they might think someone could've voted even if someone say don't vote.
  84. ABC's of Flicker: Each letter of the alphabet corresponds with a sentence to remember while playing Flicker. A= Answer questions people ask you. B= Build trust with people. C= Comply on what people say. D= Deal with any loose ends. E= Earn trust from others. F= Feel no remorse for eliminating anybody, even your friends. G= Go and have fun. H= Hold on to any important info and unleash them when needed. I= Information is key. J= Just live as long as you can. K= Kill anybody that could be a threat as Murderer. L= Lie when you're in a rough spot. M= Mourn the person who died quickly before moving on. N= Never fully trust people. O= Open new possibilities with new info. P= Politeness is the best way to get what you want. Q= Question people on anything important. R= Remember to write down things. S= Say anything to try and defend yourself. T= Tell your role only if needed. U= understand the circumstances of anything. V= Voice your opinions only if asked. W= Wonder if you can really know if they're good. X= X was the only sentence I didn't know a word for. Y= You are never truly safe and Z= Zero reasons for you to be cheating.
  85. The ABC Killer: Killing ABC is risky, but sometimes you can use it to your advantage. Let's say your character is Zahrah, and you're the Murderer, you can kill ABC and skip at least one name to put the blame on the person's name your skipped. For example, on the first two nights you killed Adam and Amethyst, and on the third, you skipped a name and killed Chlorine instead. Putting the blame on Bailey. Be careful though, as you can accidentally kill your teammates.
  86. The Clown's Glitch: The hardest thing to do as Clown is to get voted out. So another way you can find a way to get voted out is by taking advantage of a map bug. The bug is basically getting your screen stuck on the map voting screen, you can't move, but you can chat after the first night. So as Clown, pretend that you have that bug and try to get yourself voted out, don't move either. People may not vote you immediately, but it's reasonable enough.
  87. Clown Trick: If you're Clown and have an experienced player in your server you can trick them into voting them. Example If someone says they are Muffin Man then after one night you can say that you're a Twin. It'll lead the experienced player to believe you're evil unless if the Muffin Man didn't give anyone a muffin or was witched.
  88. The New Player: If you are the Clown and you want to get voted out, pretend you are new. If you do this and say you're an evil role and you don't know how to use it, somebody might help you but say that you have to be voted out. This may backfire however if they decided to let you stay or if a Psychic reads you.
  89. Too Smart For Your Own Good: When you get Clown and you're in a server full of inexperienced players, you can take this to your advantage. For example if someone says their role and dies that following night say "That's their fault" or something like that, then players will find you suspicious. Alternatively, act like an investigative role (Detective/Psychic/Spy) and accuse anyone that is not suspicious or has been confirmed as good.
  90. The Advantages of Clown: When you know someone's Clown vote them. Use the Clown kill to your advantage as another way to eliminate your opponents. It's best to use this when you're Murderer so you can eliminate the Good Team faster, although this trick is based on luck an can backfire easily. Another way is by keeping Clown alive. For example, let's say Adam is Clown, Elaina and Dashawn are Survivor and Quinn is Murderer. Quinn can kill or vote out Elaina which leaves Adam, Dashawn, and Quinn. The game will end with Evil winning since Clown doesn't affect game results, but like voting out Clown, this is a risky and hard trick since Clown could had already been voted out.
  91. Advantages of Being Default: This will only work in Regular Mode and in a server of newer players. When you're on Detective's clue and then they get voted out the Detective if they written a journal the clue will most likely be tags due to your username. This will also works if a few nights have passed, since at one points numbers will get censored, and the numbers being tagged can easily also tags the entire journal.
  92. Act Like a Survivor: You must convince everyone else you are playing to win as a survivor. An easy way to achieve this is by playing leader. Playing leader includes breaking up arguments. This method is good for the long run. For example, “Don’t make baseless accusations. Those get you nowhere.” Or, “Let’s clear everything up, I’m survivor.”
  93. Be Observant: Observe the interactions of all the players and determine when and who to kill in order to successfully frame someone. For example, if someone accuses a player, kill the accuser in order to frame the accused.
  94. Taking Notes: The journal isn't just there so you can write your last words or just say your role so people know who you were but also is there so you can record what you're doing. Make sure to cite down anything important that happened during a certain day. For example claims of roles, Deaths and any confirmed people who are from the Evil Team ,Good Team and/or Neutral Team.
  95. Don't Kill the Snitch: If you are the Murderer or Assassin, and a player is snitching on you, do not kill the player who is snitching on you because when the snitch gets killed, you will attract so suspicion which leads to you being voted out. Instead, you can frame them for being on the Evil Team by saying that they might be their evil counterpart.
  96. Don't Be Annoying: Unless you are the Clown, do not spam stuff or give random accusations. People might find it annoying. If this is before the voting, you will be voted out. Otherwise, the murderer will kill you.
  97. I'm Deceased, You're Psychic:" If you know who the Psychic is, write who the name of the person in your journal, unless you're the Psychic, or they're dead. When you die, everybody will know who's the Psychic, that way they know who to ask to reveal roles. This may backfire since the Psychic is now a target of the Evil Team.
  98. "I'm A Liar!" If you are an important role such as Psychic or role as Murderer, lie in your journal. Don't forget to put clues in your journal (or forge them if you can't get any). Saviors will probably save you, and you will get back in the game.
  99. Swap-Out: If you are Scout or Dark Psychic, you can swap names in your Journal to frame people after you get voted out/die. (Example: If Thomas is the Murderer and killed Viola, you can swap Thomas with Odette to frame her.) Be careful, as some people may be confirmed as good.
  100. Uh Oh, It's an Assassin. If you are Murderer, and someone says "I know your role", do NOT kill then! They're most likely Assassin. Psychic would most likely say who you are out loud, so everyone can see it, and vote you out.
  101. The “We’re on the same Team” doesnt work anymore!!: However, if u send a note saying that youre on the same team with the Evil Team member, everyone will instantly know youre Evil!! Instead try to focus to send them more notes instead, or say something that links to Their allignment
