Gamemodes are play styles that appear in Flicker. Players can change the gamemode they want to play by clicking the "Change gamemode" button underneath the "Play" button. Doing so will open a gray pop-up bar showing three gamemodes:

Classic Mode[]

Classic Mode is the oldest Flicker gamemode, dating back to 2017. Classic Mode only has 5 roles: the Murderer, Investigator, Medic, Psychic, and Survivor. The only map that is playable in Classic Mode is House, formerly known as "The Murder House". Classic Mode has a set of characters known as the Classic Characters.

Anonymous Mode[]

Anonymous Mode is the previous Regular Mode. Anonymous Mode has fourteen roles:

This gamemode was the first with multiple maps playable. Anonymous Mode has a set of characters called the Anonymous/Regular Characters.

Regular Mode is a variant of Anonymous Mode, but it has the custom characters feature. Everything else is parallel to Anonymous Mode, There’s also an upcoming mode named Competitive Mode and an early version of classic mode called Pro mode
