Halona is a two-spirited character who appears in Anonymous Mode. They can be played when selecting Non-Binary or Random.

Appearance

Halona wears an off-the-shoulder crop-top with red, purple, beige, black, and white stripes. She also wears thigh-length khaki shorts that are held up by a black belt. She has long, wavy, black hair that is styled in a half-up/half down bun style. They have a cold linen complexion and the "Miss Scarlett" face.

• Halona was one of the three females added to Flicker on June 22nd, 2020 before they came out as non-binary.
  • Halona is now one of the three non-binary characters that were added to Flicker on June 22nd, 2020, with the others being Alab and Tamia.
  • Halona is also the only non-binary character added to Flicker on June 22nd, 2020 that identifies as Two-spirited.
• The name Halona (/hɑː.'lɑː.nɑː/) means "Fortunate" in Native American and "Peering; Place From Which To Peer, Place To Peer At, Lookout" in Hawaiian.
• In a comment by JJ Studios executive toraisecain, answering the statement that Halona was a random pick to be chosen to come out as non-binary, as it is revealed that Halona is an indigenous character, meaning that they are currently the only revealed canon indigenous character in-game.
  • toraisecain also stated that Halona is "two-spirited", meaning she identifies as having both a masculine and a feminine spirit within them. This is also stated on a Google Document, which also confirms that Halona uses they/she/he pronouns.
    • Two-spirit is an exclusive gender identity for people who are Indigenous North American. Two-spirit is a third gender sometimes used in that culture to describe people who have both the spirit of a man and a woman.
    • Additionally, Halona is the only character in Flicker to identify as two-spirited.
• Halona is one of the six non-binary characters to not yet have a sexuality. The others are Alab, Elaina, Fayola, Tamia, and Trey.
