Jean-Claude Laurent is a playable character in Flicker. He is played when selecting Male or Random in Anonymous Mode.

Appearance

Jean-Claude wears a tan corduroy jacket with a fluffy white collar over a sky-blue shirt, light blue acid-washed jeans, and black sneakers with white soles. He has a blonde undercut with its long, windswept bangs off to the left side. He has a warm ivory complexion and the "Winky" face.

Trivia

• Before an update, his name was shown as "Jean-Cla". The game has updated, allowing the characters' full name to show.
• Jean-Claude is the longest name in the game with 11 characters (10 characters excluding the hyphen).
• The name Jean-Claude (/ʒɑ̃.klod/) means "God Is Gracious" in French and Hebrew.
• Both Jean-Claude and Charlie can be seen on the removed thumbnail for the game as Twins, along with Lara as the Muffin Man, Jamila as a Survivor, Elizabeth as the Medic, Alex as the Psychic, Mary as the Investigator, and Liling with brown hair as the Murderer.
  • The thumbnail also appears in a picture frame on the bookshelf near the bedroom and solitary room in the House map.
• Jean-Claude is one of the three characters to have punctuation marks in their name. The others are Kim-Ly and Ms. Santa.
  • He is also the only male character to have punctuation in his name.
• Jean-Claude is one of the multitude of characters who appear in the lobby. He can be seen on several billboards squatting right next to an oven with freshly baked muffins as the Muffin Man. The text "I know the Muffin Man" is displayed on left side of the billboard picture. This text references a line from the 2001 film Shrek.
  • Also, both his, Jian, and Mateo's pants can be seen placed under the hanging clothes located in the Clothes Store.
• On March 9th, 2021, Jean-Claude, Jian, and Mateo had their pants deleted.
  • The reasoning that Jean-Claude had his pants deleted on March 9th, 2021 because his pants had the Nike logo on them.
    • This also happened to Nikolai, Nave, Ash, Mateo, and Jian.
      • However, after Jian's removal, which was on April 28th, 2021, Jean-Claude and Mateo got new pants.
• On November 17th, 2023, Game Creator croire leaked Jean-Claude's last name - Laurent - in a Development News post in the JJ Studios Community Discord Server.
  • Jean-Claude is the first character in Flicker to have a confirmed surname.
