Before a Flicker match starts, a 25-second timer will start counting down, and you get to vote for a map. After the vote, the map with the majority vote will be chosen for that round. There are currently 6 maps in-game, and 3 fan-made maps that are potentially upcoming in the game. This means that 3 randomized maps will be chosen for voting. There is also a 2x Map Vote gamepass, which makes your vote count twice.

Trivia
- The House map was the most popular map before the game was updated in June 2020.
- There are 3 confirmed fan-made maps that are not released in Flicker. They are Tomb, JJ's Diner, and Underwater Facility. It is unknown if these are their final names or not.
- In the 2017 version of Flicker, there were no voting systems. The only playable map was House.
- In the House map, lamps are much darker as of the 3.0.0 update.
- Before starting, there is a slideshow of each map in Flicker. However, it's very blurry and extremely hard to see any of them properly.
- As of the 4.0a update, a common bug occurs where players who own the 2x Map Vote gamepass will not have their votes doubled during the map selection. On the top of the map selections, it will say "Purchase the x2 Vote Gamepass for double map votes!" instead of "Your vote will count twice because you own the x2 Vote Gamepass!". This bug is very common to occur.
- In Classic Mode, House is the only playable map.
